Job description

Are you an experienced finance professional who enjoys working in a hands-on, commercially focused role where no two days are the same?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a globally recognised luxury retail business during an exciting period of growth. With a new boutique opening later this year, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing finance operations and inventory control within the Australian business.
Working closely with senior leadership across APAC, you'll become a trusted business partner, helping build and improve processes as the business continues to expand.

What's on offer
  • Salary between $90,000 - $100,000 + Super(dependent on experience).
  • Join a prestigious global luxury brand during an exciting growth phase.
  • Centrally located office on Collins Street in Melbourne CBD.
  • Broad, business-critical role with genuine ownership and autonomy.
  • Work closely with senior leadership across APAC.
  • Stable, collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Opportunity to make a lasting impact by helping shape finance and operational processes as the business grows.
  • This is a fully office-based role, so we're looking for someone who enjoys being onsite and working closely with the wider team.

What you'll be doing
  • Manage the day-to-day finance operations, including month-end reporting, financial controls, and ensuring accurate financial records.
  • Oversee inventory management for the boutiques, including stock reconciliations, stock counts, and maintaining robust controls over high-value luxury inventory.
  • Ensure the business remains audit-ready by maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting compliance requirements.
  • Prepare financial reports for the Group Finance team in APAC and ensure all reporting deadlines and compliance obligations are met.
  • Partner closely with the General Manager to identify process improvements and drive operational efficiencies across the business.
  • Regularly visit the boutique locations to oversee inventory management and support operational requirements.

About you
You'll be someone who enjoys working in a broad, autonomous role and is comfortable wearing multiple hats within a growing business.
You'll ideally bring:
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce (CPA is not required)
  • Proven experience in finance operations and financial reporting.
  • Strong inventory or stock control experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) or a similar ERP system.
  • Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • The confidence to work independently and take ownership of your function.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to build and improve processes.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with stakeholders across Australia and Asia.
  • Experience within luxury retail, retail, wholesale or inventory-based businesses is highly regarded.
  • Experience working with an Asia-Pacific regional head office is desirable but not a necessity.

If you're looking for a varied role where you can combine your finance expertise with operational involvement and enjoy working in a lean, high-performing team, we'd love to hear from you.
