We are looking for a engaging and hardworking person who will be able to work closely with the sales team, clients, design & manufacturing teams. This is a very hands on job, requiring someone proactive with experience of design and build & have a good solid understanding of Solidworks. Travel across multiple sites across Melbourne is required including Heidelberg & Richmond with work on the manufacturing floor and also client facing.

Flexibility is key to this position with a strong willingness to go beyond the confines of the position description & someone who is a team player!

Key expectations of the role:
  • Support the Australian Design Team with new concept generation, detail development, prototyping and testing
  • Monitor project time frames, costs, raw material utilisation & manufacturing efficiency
  • Support with drawing/specs
  • Be able to work set deadlines & liaise with different kinds of stakeholders
About you:
  • 2-4 Years design experience ideally within manufacturing
  • Solidworks experience is essential!
  • CAD experience & Futureproof experience highly regarded
  • Maintain a high level of internal and external customer satisfaction and promote a positive team environment
  • A team player who enjoys project ownership with the ability to prioritise tasks accordingly
  • Exceptional attention to detail and highly motivated
  • An understanding of manufacturing and industrial processes is preferred
