Working across an established territory, you’ll manage a strong portfolio of retail customers while identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts and develop new business.
Offering a genuine mix of sales and account management, this role would suit an experienced territory representative or a strong salesperson ready to take the next step into an on-the-road position.
You’ll have plenty of autonomy to manage your own schedule, backed by thorough training and support from an experienced, close-knit sales team.
What you’ll be doing
- Manage and grow an established portfolio of retail customers
- Build strong relationships with store owners, buying groups and key decision-makers
- Identify and convert new business opportunities
- Increase product ranging and sales across existing accounts
- Present new products, promotions and commercial opportunities
- Provide product training and ongoing support to retail teams
- Manage pricing, negotiations and customer follow-up
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and keep reporting up to date
- Assist with occasional product and after-sales enquiries
- Attend customer meetings and industry events as required
- Experience in sales, account management, or business development
- A proven ability to build relationships and identify sales opportunities
- A positive, proactive approach with plenty of energy and initiative
- Confidence working independently and managing your own schedule
- Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Good organisation and consistent follow-through
- A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel across the territory
- Experience within flooring, interiors, building products, trade, wholesale or technical product sales will be highly regarded
- Experience selling products into retail businesses or managing retail accounts would be highly regarded.
- $80,000–$100,000 + super, depending on experience
