This is a rare opportunity to step into a position where you can shape products, influence strategy, and deliver tangible growth outcomes. This multi-faceted role has three key focus areas:
Product & Program Management: Lead improvements to existing products and policy wording while identifying and launching new and adjacent offerings, partnering with marketing, data, and distribution teams to drive growth, and bringing innovative product ideas to market based on trends and customer insights, forming the bulk of the role.
Portfolio Management: Monitor portfolio performance, including loss ratios and trends, identify risks and implement strategies to improve profitability, and collaborate with pricing and data teams to translate insights into actionable outcomes.
Underwriting: Manage complex referrals outside delegated authority, collaborate with insurer partners to secure approvals, and continuously improve underwriting frameworks to reduce referral volumes over time.
About you:
Ideally we are seeking someone with a strategic mindset, but someone who also enjoys executing and being part of a smaller niche team.
- Experience working as a Product and Porftolio Manager within insurance
- Underwriting experience
- Strong understanding of portfolio performance drivers (general or motor insurance highly advantageous)
- Commercial thinker who can turn insights into action
- Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working across multiple and competing priorities
- $150K – $170K + Super + bonus
- Hybrid working (2–3 days in office)
- Brisbane or Sunshine Coast location - if Brisbane based, travel to Sunshine Coast weekly will be required.
