Payroll Officer

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the CFO, you will manage payroll processes for a temporary workforce, while also supporting invoicing, accounts receivable, and payroll-related accounts payable functions.

This is a pivotal role that directly impacts cashflow accuracy, compliance, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up new team members and clients in the payroll system
• Process weekly payroll and conduct compliance checks
• Prepare ABA files and manage STP reporting
• Issue payslips and manage payroll queries
• Oversee invoicing and follow up purchase orders
• Monitor debtor reports and follow up outstanding accounts

About You:

• Proven payroll experience (labour hire or high-volume payroll highly regarded)
• Experience using Xero and payroll systems 
• Confident communicator with the ability to liaise across teams
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
