We are now recruiting an experienced LMS Specialist to join their inner-city team. A great role for someone who can blend instructional design, system improvement, backend development, and stakeholder collaboration to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
You’ll play a key role in the current LMS transition as well as the ongoing development, optimisation, and integration of their Learning Management System, supporting high-quality training delivery.
What you'll be doing
- Designing, developing, and improving digital learning content within Canvas LMS
- Building engaging, user-friendly online learning experiences aligned to adult learning principles and intuitive UX design
- Managing LMS transition, maintenance, troubleshooting, and system optimisation
- Supporting the migration of accredited and non-accredited programs into the LMS
- Developing backend functionality, scripts, automations, and integrations
- Work with APIs, LTIs and connected enterprise systems
- Create learning resources, templates, guides, and support documentation
- Collaborate with stakeholders across training, compliance, ops, and IT
- Analyse system data to identify improvements and enhance UX
- Provide ongoing LMS support and technical guidance to internal users
- $90,000-$95,000 + super
- Full-time permanent role | Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

- Previous experience in an LMS Specialist, Learning Designer, eLearning Developer, or similar role
- Strong experience designing and developing digital learning in an LMS (Canvas)
- Experience working with Canvas and exposure to Moodle highly regarded
- Capability across HTML/CSS and front-end design for learning environments
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, PHP, or Node.js
- Experience with APIs, system integrations, automations, or LMS development
- Understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theory
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with strong attention to detail
- Experience within an RTO, education or training and familiarty with ASQA standards and a student management system (e.g. VETtrak) would be ideal but not necessary
