We're recruiting an experienced Claims Manager to lead a specialist Personal Accident Claims function for a growing insurance organisation. This is a leadership opportunity where you'll have the autonomy to influence claims strategy, mentor a talented team and continuously improve the claims experience for brokers and customers.
The Opportunity:
This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the overall performance of the Personal Accident Claims portfolio. You'll lead a team of technical claims professionals, oversee complex claims, strengthen governance and compliance, and identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting and customer outcomes.
Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, you'll play an important role in ensuring the claims function operates efficiently while delivering fair, commercially sound and customer-focused outcomes.
- Lead and develop a high-performing Personal Accident Claims team.
- Oversee the end-to-end claims function, ensuring quality, compliance and service excellence.
- Provide technical guidance on complex Personal Accident and Injury claims.
- Build strong relationships with brokers, insurers and key stakeholders.
- Drive process improvements and enhance claims performance.
- Monitor reporting, KPIs and portfolio performance.
- Ensure strong governance, reserving and regulatory compliance.
- Manage external providers and contribute to ongoing business improvement initiatives.
You'll be an experienced insurance professional who combines strong technical capability with a collaborative leadership style.
- 5+ years’ experience managing Personal Accident, Injury or Accident & Sickness claims.
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing claims teams.
- Strong technical knowledge of claims management, governance and regulatory requirements.
- A track record of improving claims outcomes, operational performance and processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with a collaborative approach.
- Strong analytical and commercial decision-making capability.
- A proactive mindset focused on coaching, continuous improvement and team engagement.
- Experience supporting a major claims system or technology migration would be highly regarded.
- Salary of $150,000 + Super.
