Marketing Automation Manager Role

 

A Marketing Automation Manager is responsible for designing, building and optimising automated marketing campaigns that drive customer engagement, lead nurturing and revenue growth. The role blends technical skills with strategic marketing to deliver personalised, scalable communication.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and executive automated marketing workflows across channels
  • Manage and optimise campaigns in platform like HubSpot, Marketo or Salesforce
  • Segment audiences and personalise messaging using customer data
  • Monitor performance metrics and optimise based on results
  • Collaborate with content, CRM and digital teams to align strategies
  • Maintain data quality, lead scoring and contact lifecycle stages
  • Ensure compliance with privacy and consent regulations (e.g. GDPR)


Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree in Marketing, Business or a related field
  • Proven experience with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems
  • Strong understanding of customer journeys and lifecycle marketing
  • Proficient in campaign building, segmentation and lead nurturing
  • Analytical mindset with experience in A/B testing and reporting
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS and email deliverability best practices
  • Familiar with data privacy regulations and consent management
