About the Opportunity: 

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Claims Assessor to join a growing underwriting agency. This is a chance to manage a portfolio of Accident and Sickness claims from start to finish while being part of a dynamic, people-first business.
In a supportive, collaborative environment, you'll take ownership of claims, work on complex cases, and have the opportunity to contribute directly to the business’s success and growth.

The Role: 

As a Claims Assessor, you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of Accident and Sickness claims, assessing each from notification to resolution. You'll handle investigations, coordinate with brokers and claimants, and work closely with experts in medical fields as needed.
This role will challenge you to think critically, prioritise tasks, and ensure fair and timely outcomes for all parties involved. You’ll also have the opportunity to mentor junior team members and assist with complex case reviews.

This is a fast-paced, non-corporate work environment where your input truly matters. You’ll be part of a small, supportive team with opportunities to work from Manly or the Sydney CBD, plus flexible hybrid working options.

Your Background: 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need excellent interpersonal skills, a strong level of empathy, impeccable written and oral communication as well as being a bit of an office all-rounder. You dont mind rolling your sleeves up to get the job done - with your 'can-do' attitude! You also have: 
  • 3 years minimum of experience in personal injury claims, ideally within Accident and Sickness or Workers Compensation.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach are essential. If you have relevant tertiary qualifications, that’s a plus.
