Salary:$80,000–$85,000 package (including super)
Contract: 6-month FTC with strong potential to go permanent
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (9am–5pm)
We’re recruiting for an Investigations Officer to join our client. This organisation provides motor insurance and claims services, helping members through the process of protecting their vehicles and managing claims with care, transparency, and efficiency.
This role sits within the Risk and Governance team, reporting to the Fraud and Investigations Lead.
You’ll be part of a small team of four investigators who are currently based remotely across QLD and NSW. Our client is now looking for someone on the ground in Melbourne to support the team locally as the department continues to evolve.
Hybrid setup:
- Based in the St Kilda Road office
- Initially: 3 days in office, 2 from home (first month will be full office-based for training)
- After onboarding: flips to 2 days in office, 3 from home
- Investigating potentially fraudulent insurance claims
- Identifying and flagging inconsistencies or unusual claim activity
- Conducting interviews and gathering information to assess claim validity
- Managing cases end-to-end and working closely with internal stakeholders
- Experience in motor or car insurance investigations
- Background in claims management or case management within the Australian insurance market
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the confidence to conduct interviews
- Open to Working Holiday Visa holders or candidates with permanent work rights
