The Role:
In this newly created role as Head of Payroll & HR Services, you will lead and drive outsourced payroll and HR teams into a collaborative and cohesive business unit. Reporting to the Managing Director, this strategic yet hands on role demands exceptional leadership, deep expertise in Australian payroll and HR legislation, and a passion for driving efficiency, growth, and a positive internal culture. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and integrate outsourced payroll and HR teams, fostering collaboration and effective communication ensuring a seamless client experience.
- Drive strategic initiatives for division growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, promoting innovation and efficiency through automation and streamlined processes.
- Act as the subject matter expert for Employment Hero systems, providing strategic guidance and training.
- Ensure expert compliance with Australian payroll and HR legislation.
- Manage client onboarding and proactively resolve complex client issues.
- Oversee team development, recruitment, and training to meet evolving team needs.
- Take ownership of divisional budgets and financial performance, and implement strategies for business growth and profitability
- Extensive experience in Senior Payroll or HR leadership is essential, preferably in outsourced or consultancy environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in payroll and HR legislation compliance within the Australian context.
- Proven track record in client onboarding and relationship management.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and driving growth.
- Deep understanding of Employment Hero or equivalent HR and Payroll systems.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum degree qualification in Human Resources and Business/Commerce, or related field required.
