This hotel group operates six hotels in Australia and they are now seeking a Business Development Manager/Sales Executive to join their dynamic hotel team in Melbourne.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Sales & Marketing, this is a great opportunity to work within an established team and property to develop your career in a supportive, fun and customer focused environment.
YOUR NEW ROLE:
Joining a well tenured team you will be responsible for the development of new and existing client accounts within the SME corporate accommodation and meetings markets.
Some of your roles and responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Formulate sales strategy for the corporates accommodation and meetings market, ensuring budgets/forecasts are achieved
- Seek new corporate accommodation and meetings opportunities for the hotel in both rooms and catering from domestic and international markets
- Develop and maintain existing relationships ensuring retention and revenue/market share
- Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with all departments in the hotel, particularly the Meeting and Events Team, Sales Team, Revenue and Reservations Team
- Sales-focused individual with a proven ability to identify, secure and develop new business opportunities with a consultative, solution-based approach
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multi-task
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivated, passionate, fun and proactive, with a desire to succeed
- High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Previous experience within similar role in the Corporate, Meetings or Events market is highly advantageous
PAY & PERKS:
- Salary $90,000 - $95,000 + Super + Bonus
