Job description

SMAART Recruitment is proud to partner with a highly successful Australian-based manufacturing and product development company. This company develops beautiful, high-performance interior acoustics and industrial products with a simple goal: Create inspiring products for spaces where people come together to work, learn and live. Making waves on the global stage, the Australian-based team works hard to design and manufacture innovative products for award-winning interiors, both locally and overseas.

They believe good design is not stagnant; it is constantly evolving—shaping the future with confident curiosity and a brazen disregard for conformity. Those who are up to the challenge are the ones who make real change. As true believers in the value of good design, we can’t sit still. Working for the company means you’ll be part of a team of creatives who like to get their hands dirty, pushing the limits and testing the boundaries.

Due to the company's growth in Victoria, we are on the lookout for an experienced Production Scheduler based in their new Essendon Fields location.

Please note this is a full-time permanent role with an ASAP start, Mon - Fri, 7AM - 3PM (Flexible) & there is no work from home in this role. Initial training and onboarding will be in Bayswater with a travel allowance provided depending on location and commute, fully relocating to Essendon Fields late August 2025.

Duties include -

- Production planing and scheduling of machines, materials and workforce
- Provide material, component, and consumable forecasts to warehouse and production. Ensure all required materials are available for the production schedules.
- Develop continuous improvement strategies for the warehouse & team
- Manage the flow of inventory across sites & personnel involved in inwards/outwards transfers of goods

About you:
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the manufacturing/supply chain
Proficiency in ERP systems & scheduling software
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (preferred but not essential)
• Prior experience in production planning and rolling out new systems/processes
• Experience and understanding of industrial cutting machines
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel
• A team player who enjoys project ownership with the ability to prioritize tasks accordingly

What's in it for you?
• Base salary of $90-10K + 11.5% Super (Experience dependent)
• Travel Allowance (To be discussed)
• A unique opportunity to advance your career in a highly successful Australian company
• Be part of a company experiencing 20% growth yearly
• Access to ongoing training, courses & development
