A rare and exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Sales professional to join one of SA’s most recognisable brands in the trade services industry. This is a family business, operating for decades and continues to go from strength to strength on the back of it’s uncompromising focus of good old-fashioned customer service.

This role will see you drive the strategic growth of trade services for both existing and new businesses in South Australia. You will engage with existing clients further growing and enhancing relationships, identify new revenue opportunities and ways to add value as well as seek new business opportunities, acquiring new customers in key growth areas as identified in the strategic plan.

This role is perfect for the true relationships focussed sales professional who has a genuine passion for adding value and winning new business. The marketing team will report direct into you and assist in driving lead generation and creating new opportunities where YOU want them to be created. You will also work with the General Manager and Head of People and Capability to ensure that your strategies align with the overall business plan. 

You will utilise your experience as an accomplished Sales Manager to further propel the brand forward in the commercial space. You will be an expert in reporting and forecasting, measuring sales statistics and knowing which levers to pull and when to maximise your sales and retention strategies.

  
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage existing accounts and generate new business opportunities driving profit and market penetration and ensuring that sales targets and KPI’s are met
  • Establish sales objectives, business strategies and marketing plans, reviewing and implementing sales methods and key customer strategies.
  • Monitor own performance against key deliverables using budgeting, reporting and regular forecasts
  • Lead and collaborate with the marketing team to drive new business growth and obtain market saturation of the brand in strategic growth areas
  • Lead and propose the development of new initiatives such as marketing techniques, new advertising campaigns, and their review.
  • Build and maintain collaborative contact with major suppliers, key customers, industry associations and government representatives to achieve overall business objectives.
  
What do we need from you?
  • You will have exceptional communication skills with both written and verbal and can display a proven ability to multitask.
  • You love building relationships. New or existing it doesn’t matter! You thrive on bringing in new business as well as growing your portfolio and have a demonstrated track record.
  • The ability to speak with people at all levels of an organisation across multiple industries and connect with them quickly.
  • Ability to develop your own sales plans and market maps together with excellent presentation skills
  • Experience writing tenders and proposals will also be highly regarded as this position will see you chasing business of all sizes including government contracts.
  • You have an understanding of Marketing plans and the basics of Marketing and how to get the best out of the Marketing support team.
  • Strong negotiation skills always seeking a win/win outcome is also going to see you go a long way to being a successful candidate for the position
  • You are driven by putting the customer first and upholding a service promise.
  • You feel most at home on the road and getting it done! Some weekend and after-hours work will be required as well as intra-state travel.
