Job description

You will be working for an organisation who are creating a lasting impact by working with projects across the world to help eradicate the causes and consequences of Leprosy. Leprosy is a curable neglected tropical disease and you will be taking donations and providing administration support which will assist them in their fight to provide local communities across the globe with access to leprosy treatment. Your role will be vital in helping to develop and maintain long-term relationships with supporters alongside providing exceptional and courteous customer service to both external and internal stakeholders to achieve their vision of “’Leprosy Defeated. Lives Transformed’’.

We are seeking a passionate, energetic, self-driven Customer Service Officer to work for a Not-for-Profit organisation based in Box Hill. Your role will be to make both inbound and outbound calls to supporters in addition to administration, data-entry tasks, problem solving and the processing of merchandise orders and donations via mail and phone.

You will be working full-time hours (37.5-hour week) and in return for your hard work, you will be rewarded with a salary of $45,000 + Super. Working for a Not-For-Profit Organisation you will have the opportunity to apply for salary packaging. This means allocating a portion of your salary to pay for certain expenses such as living expenses and meals and entertainment before your income tax is calculated. If you pay income tax then you can save with salary packaging and boost your overall income!

The ideal candidate has strong administration and phone experience and be someone who is intuitive and resilient. You will pride yourself on your written and verbal communication skills and thrive in fast-paced environments.

Please note that successful candidates will be required to undergo a police check and that the organisation has  a zero-tolerance policy towards any abuse, neglect and exploitation to all people. You will sign and must comply with organisational policies, including the Child and Vulnerable Adult Protection Policy and Code of Conduct.

This is your chance to do something good!
